About the studio

Kernwerk Digital is an independent software studio founded in Vienna, building three focused products rather than one sprawling platform. We keep the team small and the infrastructure close to home — everything runs exclusively on servers located in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.

Kernwerk — "core work" — is the whole philosophy: build the essential parts of a product properly, and leave out what doesn't earn its place. That means faster decisions, direct support from the people who actually build the software, and pricing that reflects real costs rather than venture-scale overhead.

Takt replaces chaotic WhatsApp scheduling with a simple booking page, automated reminders, and a lightweight customer CRM — built on Kernwerk Digital's shared trust infrastructure to handle customer consent transparently. Built for barbershops, salons, trainers, and clinics.

MeCAA

Clinical documentation that stays where it belongs

Medical Conversation AI Agent — an ambient clinical documentation assistant that listens to doctor-patient conversations (with consent) and drafts a structured note for clinician review. Built from the ground up for Austrian and EU regulatory requirements — GDPR, MDR, and ELGA — with end-to-end encryption and a human-in-the-loop design.

MeCAA is a clinical decision-support and documentation tool. It does not make diagnoses or treatment decisions, and all outputs require clinician review and approval. MeCAA is currently in pilot phase with a clinical partner in Austria and is not yet CE-marked or commercially available. Own domain in setup.
